77 | This is for a 3d Adventure PC game. I have some ruff ideas on what the game will be about but Between the graphics and interaction\programming I need a writer to refine them into something more realistic, or believable.
Idea: A Girl is abused from a family involed in drugs. For years she's never had a stable home and now she's going insane and just runs away. The harsh reality is she is unaware of what lerks in the cities. Later on though this game she does meet something in which would later protect her thoughout the game.
The player would control the Girl thoughout most of the game until that "something" she runs into. Its not just running around, becuase she has weapons, so there action.
The Girl:
-She has a more of a badass/tomboy additude, but still is very weak when it comes to emotion.
Currently the pay is cut into 3rds because if a writer does join then that makes 3 members. Although the game's profit is only 50% if I publish it though GarageGames.com

78 | Hello Joseph and welcome to Writing Talk.
Do you have any idea of the word count you are after, and what sort of length this game will be? For cut scenes I'd say it's similar to writing for films or TV in terms of the word count per hour, but games vary enormously as far as dialogue goes. Some are very repetitive, whilst others have heaps of casual dialogue, multiple minor characters, daft radio stations, alternate endings, and so forth.
I personally think game writing is too often neglected, and good characterisation and dialogue is what sets apart the really great games from the rest.
Best of luck with it.

106 | Hello there Joseph.
This sounds like a really exciting project. Are you looking for something along the lines of a Grand Theft Auto type plot where the main character progresses through the game and eventually reaches some kind of position of power/strength? I've spent loads of time watching my husband play these kinds of games so I think I've got a pretty good handle on what needs to happen. Let me know if you want me to send you some ideas and I'll see what I can come up with.
Regards,
Kirsty.

108 | Hi Joseph,
Being 21 and a bit of a Playstation fiend, I've had a lot of experience with these sorts of games. I always find the most enjoyable 1st person action games are the ones with a deep and rich characters and storylines (Grand Theft Auto, Final Fantasy, 13). I've got some interesting ideas on the subject. If you contacted me I'd be happy to discuss them with you.
Chris
