I am an editor with many years experience having worked as Chief Sub-Editor on Art Buyer Magazine, Deputy Chief Sub-Editor on BBC Homes & Antiques, and I have also been an editor at Cosmopolitan, Woman & Home and Decanter. I also work as a books editor, having just finished work on a title out this summer called Baby's Here! Who Does What? by Duncan Fisher (director of the charity Kids in the Middle).
I am a fast, efficient and accurate editor with an extreme lightness of touch for copy. I can take 500 words out of a 1,500 word article and you'd barely know it had been cut. Equally, I can turn an adequate but dull article into a slick, interesting and attention-grabbing piece.
As a writer I have written on many subjects from house features, design, art, beauty and health, sex and relationship articles, and I also write fiction. I have written three children's books and short stories for national newspapers.
I have an Upper Second degree in English and Art History from Oxford Brooks University. I'm hard-working, ego-free, thoroughly charming and easy to work with and my rates are very reasonable. I'd love editing or proofreading work in any area that doesn't require mathematical ability!
Thank you.
